Do you ever feel like something’s missing?
And no, I don’t mean that “where’s my car keys?” feeling. I mean, in quiet moments when you’re alone, do you ever feel a deep ache?
You’ve lived your life, and you’ve tried to fill it with relationships, fun, and maybe even a career you enjoy, but somehow there’s this gnawing sensation, a silent fear. Have you missed something important? Something meaningful? You’re not sure, but you don’t want your life to be over one day without having figured it out.
Here’s the thing. We all know that we won’t live long and happy lives if we go without food. What we don’t often realize is that the same is true if we go without God.
He is our creator and our sustainer. Without him, life’s just second rate. The truth is, things won’t get any better when we die. But here’s the good news. Your life doesn’t have to end. Really. It doesn’t, and the life you’re living now can be so much better than you can imagine.
You simply have to ask this loving God, this creator of life, love, joy, and happiness, to come into your life. If you’ll let him, he’ll take your life and make it something extraordinary simply because he loves you: “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 NLT
